XEARZ is a 2D side-scrolling platformer. It features multiple planes that can be moved to the front and back. The player uses melee weapons such as blades, guns including guided and reflex rounds, and subweapons such as grenades and flamethrowers to defeat enemies. A 3D movie plays and the story progresses, a science fiction philosophy story about AI.
