MeloMisterio is a 3D action game in which the player’s actions - such as jumping and dashing - become melodies. The game is built upon “interactive music” a concept in which sound changes according to the situation in the game. We aim to expand upon this and provide agency to the player who can create their own new sound experience solely through playing the game.

MeloMisterio is a musical improv 3D game where players must overcome obstacles through jumping and dashing. Each movement is accompanied by a sound and pitch change, automatically generating a melody. While many musical games reward rhythm and timing, MeloMisterio empowers your action to generate pleasant sounds that resonate with the world. Rather than operating in time with music, your actions are the music.
Solve puzzles by moving up and down the scale
Going up and down the scale doesn't just make a sound. Picking the perfect pitch will allow you to move mechanisms such as raising and lowering lifts and lowering fences. Other musical puzzles include walls that move in time with the rhythm and finding treble clefs hidden in the stage.
This is a musical game that doesn’t require a sense of rhythm or knowledge of music composition. Just move around and have fun—enjoy the music as you play!
