DESCRIPTION
[Story]
The moon has disappeared.
Because you weren’t looking at it.
If this continues, the world will fall apart.
When you don’t observe something, it ceases to exist.
That’s why...
You have to keep watching.
Now then—
Let’s go find the moon.
[About Game]
"Do you really believe the moon isn't there when you're not looking?"
This famous quote, often attributed to Einstein, questions the nature of quantum mechanics.
Inspired by this idea, Cassette Boy is a puzzle RPG set in a world where unobserved things cease to exist.
At first glance, it may look like a pixel-art game—but its world is far more complex.
What seems like a 2D world is actually built in 3D, where rotating the map changes what the protagonist can and cannot see.
To solve puzzles, you must rotate and twist the environment to shift your perspective.
For example, if something is hidden behind a wall and no longer visible from your point of view, it simply ceases to exist.
Hide obstacles out of sight or reveal hidden passages to progress.
But it's not just about solving puzzles—you’ll also acquire weapons and face monsters and bosses.
In this mysterious world, take on mind-bending puzzles and enemies as you manipulate “existence” itself to uncover the truth.

The unseen is uncertain. In other words, unless something is observed, it does not exist.
In the world of Cassette Boy, anything not visible—anything off-screen—simply doesn't exist.
Yes, even that person you just talked to. Even the switch you were about to press. If it’s no longer in view, it’s no longer real.
Additionally, the game is packed with mechanics triggered by screen rotation.
Viewpoint control—something often taken for granted—becomes deeply tied to puzzle-solving.
This isn’t a game you can solve in the usual ways.
It may look retro, but everything is fresh and new. A mysterious experience awaits you.
