The protagonist is Tsujitsuma, a member of the Angelic Agency: Soul Salvation Unit, known for his strong sense of justice.
Partnered with him is Damian, a flippant junior colleague with a lighthearted attitude.
Other colleagues in the Soul Salvation Unit include Munakata, a caring and hardworking member, and Cynthia, a laid-back genius partnered with Munakata.

Players use Tsujitsuma’s power to perceive “ghost memories” — the key to uncovering contradictions in testimonies and unlocking hidden past traumas.
Sometimes these memories are eyewitness accounts of the incident, other times they are the ghosts’ own traumas from past lives.
