“Shinonome” is an escape game that lets you experience the thrill of a haunted house.
At first glance, it appears to be a top-view action game, but in fact it is a slightly eccentric title in which the key to success lies in careful deduction and strategy rather than fingertip technique.
Set in the final days of the Tokugawa shogunate, the player wanders around a vast mansion with the young Onmyoji “Yono,” listening for noises coming from the next room, finding traces left on the walls and floors, avoiding ghosts and vengeful spirits, and deftly navigating through danger.
The team’s goal is to create a game that is “eternally thrilling” and full of playfulness.
